When the economy got sick, we needed to differentiate Mucinex from other OTC medicines and build brand love by connecting with Gen Z, a new demographic with increased purchasing potential. We created a handle for America's slimiest mascot (Mr. Mucus) and went all in on AI to get down with sickness on social.
By embracing emerging tech, we were able to create thumb-stopping content on every platform at blistering speed and scale. During cold and flu season, many people want to keep their distance but we took Mr Mucus out there and in a collaboration with Pen & Teller, we had gathering at Grand Central Terminal to see "Mucus Disappearus".  The two magicians with a little help of Mucinex 12HR are going to make cold and flu symptoms disappear.
